How To Check Your KOSInet Email with Your Web Browser!

This feature allows you to check your KOSInet Email from anywhere that you can get on-line, using any
web browser.
The instructions below will  you

Step 1: In your web browser address bar, type in "" <hit Enter>
                                                                                     (or click on the above link)

Step 2: You'll be prompted for a user name and password.
              Type in your KOSInet user information.

Step 3: The first time you enter, you will be prompted to enter your name and email address, this will set up your identity in the webmail.

Step 4: Your current mail will be listed on the screen, click on any of them to read.

Step 5: Please click the "Log Out" button on the top right of the screen to log off when you are done. If you do not log out, and try to retrieve email through your outlook express, it may fail due to the concurrent login scripting.

How to set up your spam filter using webmail

Step 1: After you log in to your webmail, click "OPTIONS" link across the top of the page.


Step 3: Scroll down to the "General Settings".

Step 4: Click on the button by the words "SPAM SCORE"  and set the filter to "8 - Recommended Setting".

Step 5: Click on the bottom of the page to "Update Settings".


How To Check Your Settings In MS Outlook Express


Step 1: Open Outlook Express Program by double clicking on the icon.

Step 2:  Choose to "Work Offline", then go to Tools - Accounts

Step 3: When the screen opens under Accounts - Choose the Mail Tab

Step 4: Click on the Account name (i.e.;,, then click on the Properties button to the left.

Step 5: Click on the "Servers" Tab at the top of the Properties screen and check your server settings:

Step 6: Your settings should appear as in the image above.  Some instances of Anti-Virus modifications after updates have caused problems with sending or receiving.  Your mail servers have to say "" in order to send or receive.

Step 7: Click on the "My Server Requires Authentication"

Step 8: Click On Advanced tab - Change Port #25 to #587.

Step 9: Click Apply - then OK.  - Click Close.
